Do you have a template that you used or was it just custom cut pieces?
I-EAT-SOULS Featured By Owner Apr 2, 2013
every thign is custom made for the individual projects, some things i made pattern for, but most were drawn directly onto the foam, the ones that went are long gone.

its all foam, would be veryun protective, but i bet if you got a regualar one you could easily alter it to look like one

Amazing helmet! :D
Did you use the pop bottle plastic as the visor?
and nice idea using a hockey helmet did you just take off the cage and spray painted it?

the lense is a 2 liter bottle cut soi can flaten it into a sheet, and it has alayer of blue transparency behind it which was not in when the pic was taken

yeah its just a hockey helmet wiht out the cage and painted as needed

Oh alright thanks for the response. I know where to get matress foam but not the other foam you used btw what did you use the other foam for? Sorry if im pestering you with questions i'm new to this :S

i dunno what you mean by mattress foam, if its the type im thinking of its nothing like what i used, all the thin foam is craft foam from hobby lobby, the thicker foam is the puzzle piece play mats for kids rooms. the thicker stuff is for thicker armor and support. the thinner is for the thiner armor and other details, and in some cases support when layered. if you do in game and online research you can figure out what goes where, what shape the parts are, color lay out, and all that type of stuff. i took pic of my tv, or screen shots and other pics from online, zoomed in till it was approximately life size, then traced with tracing paper, then adjusted lines to make it fit. some details were changed or skipped in order t make it work out, but most are there.

if your wondering about painting its all just spray paint i sprayed in a cup then brushed on due to it bn all i had, but i do also think acrylic would crack but i dont know for sure. the spray paint stuck well to the foam. try whatever works for you. im pretty sure there are more then a few ways to make the armor, some might be better then what i did.
